Happy New Year!

Happy 2024 from everyone here at MHF! This year, we are welcoming positivity, healing, recovery and productivity into our lives.

Here are 10 ways you can get back on track for the new year and make progress in your recovery and healing process.

  1. Set some goals.

Whether they’re educational, professional, financial, or just personal goals, it can be highly beneficial for you to visualize how you want your year to look by setting goals.

  2. Declutter.

Take a few hours this week to declutter your room, car, kitchen, or bathroom to make your space feel cleaner and more refreshed for the start of the year.

  3. Start an exercise routine.

It doesn’t need to be intense- even 10-20 minutes of stretching in the mornings can help your mental wellbeing.

  4. Take a digital detox.

Start to limit your screen time and social media intake.

  5. Socialize with friends and family.

This goes hand-in-hand with your digital detox. Plan to spend quality time in-person with people you love!

  6. Improve your sleep quality.

If you struggle falling asleep at night, invest in a white noise machine or a weighted blanket to help yourself drift off easier. Prioritizing quality sleep can positively impact your health and energy levels throughout the day.

  7. Practice positive affirmations.

By speaking positively about yourself and your life, you will start to believe it. Tell yourself you are hard working, you are productive, you are thankful, and you are worth it!

  8. Start a new hobby.

    Try something new this year.

  9. Improve eating habits.

Eat foods that are better for your body, and in return they will make you feel better overall!

  10. Relax.

Don’t get too overwhelmed this year. Don’t worry about making drastic changes to your daily routine- just make small changes that will benefit you in the long run. Let yourself relax and take every day as it comes.

Happy New Year! We are all in this together and the best is yet to come!
